Albeit I live far far away from Hawaii but I am glad that Tsunami Warning for Hawaii is canceled by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center, the Tsunami was expected to hit Hawaii as a consequence of Chile Earthquake which was 8.8 magnitude earthquake
The Tsunami cancellation is prompted after Pacific Tsunami Warning Center witnessed and analyzed that the wave activity calmed after three hours of the first surges
Dr. Gerard Fryer with the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said after noon that it looked like Hawaii had “dodged a bullet.”
At 6 am yesterday, State Civil Defense launched siren to wake visitors and islanders up. Thus, that would give people about 14 hour to evacuate before the hour of the predicted tsunami
