You will now see Blacksn0w RC2 on CydiaTo Unlock iPhone 3.1.3 Baseband 05.11.07, it’s the fix version for WiFi loss also to solve the boot loops problem that impeded you from the last test release, but don’t assume too far just because the name of this tool is Blacksn0w RC2 doesn’t mean it’s released by Geohot, it’s just an improvement tool of Geohot’s unlock tool plus the fix from MSFT Guy for 05.11.07 baseband on iPhone OS 3.1.3.

Just like any other unlocking tool, you have to jailbreak your iPhone (3GS and 3G) first, and do these steps before downloading Blacksn0w RC2 to unlock iPhone 3.1.3 Baseband 05.11.07

• Checks your *real* firmware version using your kernel version (this avoids using the reported firmware version which might be “faked”). Only installs if you are really running 3.1.2 or 3.1.3
• Checks your baseband version – only installs if 05.11.07
• Properly backs up and restores your configuration if uninstalled

Now here are the steps:

After your iPhone is jailbroken then do these steps:

• Now open Cydia -> Touch Manage -> Touch Source
• Tap on Edit > tap on Add And then type when you are prompted to enter url source: http://blackra1n.com and touch on Add Source.
• Now search for blacksn0w (once the repository added) in Cydia then install it, and this app will do the job to automatically unlock your iPhone
• Restart your iPhone your iPhone 3G or 3GS on firmware 3.1.3 is unlocked now!
• Well done!

Good news here because now you can unlock you iPhone 2G, 3G and 3GS 3.1.3 Firmware with old boot roms, and you can also can keep your baseband during upgrading to the latest firmware which is iPhone OS 3.1.3

In other word, once you are able to jailbreak your iPhone with Sn0wbreeze then you can further unlock your 3G and 3GS using the latest version of ultrasn0w or Blacksn0w because both of them are compatible with the older baseband versions

Before we start to unlock iPhone 3.1.3 3G 3GS with ultrasn0w firstly you need to do the following:

1. Jailbreak iPhone 2G with Redsn0w if yours is iPhone 2G and has not been jailbroken yet
2. Jailbreak iPhone 3.1.2 Sn0wbreeze if yours is iPhone 3GS or iPhone 3G and has not been jailbroken yet
3. Let’s do it

After your iPhone is jailbroken then do these steps:

• Now open Cydia -> Touch Manage -> Touch Source

Disable 3G for T-Mobile users before installing ultrasn0w.

• Tap on Edit > tap on Add And then type when you are prompted to enter url source: http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com and touch on “Add Source”.
• Now search for Ultrasn0w (once the repository added) in Cydia then install it, and this app will do the job to automatically unlock your iPhone
• Restart your iPhone your iPhone 3G or 3GS on firmware 3.1.3 is unlocked now!
