Swedish Online Store, CDon, has placed the LG Optimus 2X Star phone on their site for any interested buyer to make a pre-order. They have set two kind of price types to get this dual-core Android smartphone, one is with contract which will cost you 3,099 SEK or similar to €345 or $450, and 4,999 SEK or around €555 or $730 is without contract agreement.

The prices are very expensive indeed, let’s hope the same amount won’t apply in other countries. The LG Optimus 2X is expected to be launched to market at the next January, 2011.

To make easier for Youtube fans, which is us, to find any Youtube videos via Android devices, Google presents to us an application, named Youtube Remote, to make a virtual connection between Youtube Leanback (Youtube’s user interface for Google Tv) and Android tablet or smartphone.

In order to connect your Android based devices with a Youtube Leanback, you need to have two apps and sign in them via a Google account. Once they are signed and synced, your Android phone or tablet can be transformed as a remote control to pause, play, rewind or control the volume of your Youtube videos.

If you don’t own Google TV, don’t worry, because you can get Youtube Leanback for your PC via this url: Youtube.com/leanback. And to download YouTube Remote app you can head to Android market using your phone and search for the Youtube Remote there.

And unfortunately this app only available for US only for now and there is no official announcement whether Google will make Youtube Remote available for iPhone or iPad.

Cool video and deserves my “ha..ha..ha” by the way, albeit in the demo video the guy uses a HTC Nexus One of Google, however you can apply to any Android OS based smartphones as long as it has appropriate performance and processor!

Google is launching an amazing technology again, this time is ridiculously awesome and you’d agree with me, it is Google Goggles, no text for this technology all you need is an image to search information you are wondering, for example if you are somewhere far from your country and you see very high quality work of art but you are not familiar with, you can ask Google Goggles for answers.

It works like this, you are able to search your needed information using images not words or text. Use the camera of your phone to take a picture you found interesting, if Googles knows it, you will be presented with search results.

Since this technology is still quite new so far Googles only identifies Works of art, Wine, Logo, Places, Books, Contact Info Landmarks and products, and in all cases its ability to “see further” is rooted in powerful computing, pervasive connectivity, and the cloud:

• We first send the user’s image to Google’s datacenters
• We then create signatures of objects in the image using computer vision algorithms
• We then compare signatures against all other known items in our image recognition databases; and
• We then figure out how many matches exist; and
• We then return one or more search results, based on available meta data and ranking signals; and
• We do all of this in just a few seconds

Unfortunately, Goggles, as of today is only available for Android based devices. Hopefully, Google will make it available across other platforms like iPhone and Windows Mobile in the near future. You can try it today for free on your Android based phone by searching for it in Android Marketplace.
