There is a good and wise words I really like which is: If it’s not broken, Don’t fix it! this is happening to Google right now, it seems the known giant search engine takes Facebook’s plan to have web based email system seriously, yes too serious in fact, by which Google is currently adding social media tools to Gmail similar to Facebook has. So in the near future, our Gmail will have video sharing, incorporate photo and other file sharing capabilities, not to forget you can update your status too

So why would Google do that? Email is email! I don’t need social network functionality on my email, I believe most people use Gmail as it is designed, to open and read email, not to update status or such!

If Google feel heat about Facebook email, it’s better to improve Orkut make it more exciting because Orkut is a social networking, thus add the social networking tools there not to Gmail

Albeit I trust Google will always comes up with awesome things, but still it’s too much and there is no reason to take Facebook email seriously, so don’t fix anything which is already right
