Wow Microsoft is allegedly will bring XBOX Live Games to other mobile platforms — iOS and Android. This news came from a tip whispered to Business Insider.

The tipster is a developer familiar with Microsoft’s whims and confirmed that the company will not leave the chance behind to reap more lucrative opportunity on other devices.

“Xbox is a client of ours. There’s no way they’ll be ignoring those other mobile platforms,”

Frankly it is a second time, indicating the Microsoft’s current plan to expand its XBOX toward non-Windows Phone 7 based devices. Initially it was LiveSide who reported that Microsoft opens a job opportunity for iOS and Android developers on their careers site.

However XBOX app already available both on Android or iOS, but it is limited to only see your friend’s achievements, message your buddies, avatar changing and of course sing-in. But no playing the game.

If this tip come out to be true will be an opposite line with Microsoft famous campaign to set XBOX Live as Windows Phone 7′s exclusive digital media delivery service. Again, who will ignore the opportunity.

Microsoft is planning to give away 90,000 Windows Phone 7 devices, 1.000 for WP 7 developers who attend to Microsoft Professional Developers Conference and 89,000 will be handed to Microsoft employees, this is according Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer who announced this fantastic news on Thursday.

That amount of WP 7 devices is nearly similar to over $20 million that Microsoft will spend. But that’s ok, to make sure all their employees using their own devices, not Apple or Nexus One (or Two), right?

According to a page on the Microsoft Partner Program website, Microsoft is planning to give its partners the Windows 7 Release Candidate via both TechNet and MSDN. The page says the build is available “now,” though as of publishing time, a quick check on TechNet and MSDN shows that it’s not yet available there (only the beta is), nor is it available on Microsoft Connect.

Most likely this is just another slip up, like last month when it was revealed that Microsoft plans to give out the RC in May, so MSDN and TechNet subscribers will not be getting the RC anytime soon. However, today’s information is more specific than the previous leak: May 5 looks like the date for the public release of Windows 7 RC.

Update

It looks like my original guess was correct: MSDN and TechNet subscribers will not be getting access soon. A few faithful readers got this quote from the Microsoft Online Concierge Chat: “Currently the Windows 7 RC has not been avaiable through the TechNet subscription yet, only the Microsoft OEM partners such as Dell, Siemens are taking part in the RC’s this period of test.” This matches what I’ve heard from other sources (also why I originally put a question mark in the title), so despite the grammar mistake, I believe this information is correct.
