There is an interesting news I just red from Redmondpie blog, about the co-founder and chief executive officer of Apple, Steve Jobs is still using the old iPhone OS 3.1.2, this possibility is found after 9to5mac user received an email from Steve Jobs, and its email header information says iPhone Mail 7D11.

So this explains clearly that Mr. Jobs still using the old software, not the newest one (iPhone OS 3.1.3) let alone the pre-released (4.0Beta) so here is the email screenshot:

Furthermore, Taimur put the possibilities on the table concerning Steve Jobs still uses the old iPhone firmware; probably because he is too busy to upgrade to the latest software or simply unable to iTunes because of tight schedule…or hate to lose multitasking ability such as Backgrounder plus ProSwitcher on his jailbroken iPhone?

If that’s so, should Apple ban Steve Jobs iPhone from accessing iTunes and app store, as it did before? Read Apple banned jailbroken iPhone users from App store!

But it could be it’s just one of his dozens of iPhones he uses, or probably he was just using someone else’s phone to show him how to set up and send emails…or…ah! Personally I don’t care what iPhone that Jobs uses, only what Apple releases!

Good news for Windows user although PwnageTool is still not available for you but you still can Jailbreak you iPhone using BlackRa1n for Windows. BlackRa1n is proven work for the latest release of Apple firmware 3.1.2 but not hacktivate the iPhone, thus, for non an official Apple approved carried BlackRa1n can’t activate it.

For iPhod touch users, BlackRa1n only supports a tethered jailbreak, therefore don’t let your battery die after jailbroken or else you have to reconnect it to the computer & boot it using BlackRa1n.

Please note: Despite this tool supports iPhone OS 3.1.2 it’s better not to update it if you’re currently using iPhone OS 3.0.1 or 3.0, because you will suffer losing your current unlock. It will be better to get PwnageTool to safely update to 3.1 without performing a baseband update. But if you are forced to use 3.1.2 then wait for the latest news of PwnageTool 3.1.4.
