After it’s installed in your iPad and the activation takes online process by filling your your iPad’s serial number online. However, there is no option to change the serial number in order to use this app to another device. Once it’s activated the app will record your serial number and lock it.

Remember the PhoneIt-iPad only works for the older iPad on 3G connectivity and your iPad must already been jailbreak. How about iPad 2 on iOs 5? You need to wait for the said device is able to be jailbreaken.

A guy named “Intell” has elaborated the steps to bring FaceTime app feature on iPad 1G, as we all know the app is probably one of the demanded features should be on iPad, but it’s not there yet. With FaceTime iPad users can do video conference with other iDevices.

What Intell did to enable FaceTime to iPad is by installing the iPod touch 4 Facetime app on the iPad plus optimized user interface also a full-screen. There is a demo video for this wanted achievement, you can watch at the last of this article.

For having video calling your device is connected to a WiFi network, and the quality of the FaceTime video is not bad either. Also, as we know since there is no camera on iPad, thus you as iPad user will not appear on the screen but audio works good and mute button is there. In overall this one is a great hack and it works as it’s promoted. Hope Apple will come with the more stable version of FaceTime app integration on the iPad 2.

Things needed:
Conference.framework, IMCore.framework MobilePhone.app, ConferenceRegistrationSettings.bundle, AVFoundation.framework, Celestial.framework, and the UISounds folder all from iPhone 4 or iPod Touch 4 firmware and a Jailbroken iPad running 4.2.1 (works on untethered and tethered)

1. SSH to /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/
2. Rename Conference.framework to ConferenceiPad.framework and IMCore.framework to IMCoreiPad.framework
3. Upload the Conference.framework and IMCore.frameworks from the iPod Touch 4 or iPhone 4 to /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/
4. Navigate to /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/ and download the K48AP.plist for editing.
5. Add

<key>venice</key> <true/>

under the capabilities array, then upload the modified version to SpringBoard.app on the iPad replacing the unmodified version

6. Upload the ConferenceRegistrationSettings.bundle from the iDevice 4 to /System/Library/PreferenceBundles/
7. Navigate to /System/Library/Frameworks/AVFoundation.framework/K48/ and rename AVCaptureSession.plist to AVCaptureSession.bak2
8. Upload the AVCaptureSession.plist from the iPod Touch 4 /System/Library/Frameworks/AVFoundation.framework/N81/ or /System/Library/Frameworks/AVFoundation.framework/N90/ from the iPhone 4
9. Navigate to /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Celestial.framework/K48/ and rename AVCapture.plist to AVCapture.bak2
10. Upload the AVCapture.plist from the iPod Touch 4 /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Celestial.framework/N81/ or /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Celestial.framework/N90/ from the iPhone 4
11. To get the sounds woking navigate to /System/Library/Audio/UISounds/ and put vc~ended.caf, vc~invitation-accepted.caf, and vc~ringing.caf from the iDevice 4 into the iPad’s UISounds folder
12. Navigate to /Applications/Preferences.app/ and download the Settings.plist
13. Remove the requieredCapabilites key from item number 26, save, then replace the version on the iPad with modified version
14. Edit the info.plist in the MobilePhone.app that is from the iDevice 4. Change CFBundleDisplayName~ipod to CFBundleDisplayName~ipad, CFBundleIconFiles~ipod to CFBundleIconFiles~ipad, CFBundleURLTypes~ipod to CFBundleURLTypes~ipad, UILaunchImageFile~ipod to UILaunchImageFile~ipad, and add a 2 to the UIDeivceFamily array (For help with adding the 2 visit http://www.funkyspacemonkey.com/apps-ipad-compatible)
15. Replace the Default~ipod.png with the attached file
16. Navigate to /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/TelephonyUI.Framework/ and rename bottombarknobgreen.png to bottombarknobgreenT.png
17. Reboot and enjoy FaceTime

Apple is said to have carried an internal multitouch gestures test for iPhone 4, which means the iPad smaller size screen will be operated with four fingers if the feature is added in the future.

People consider this move inappropriate considering iPhone screen size is not similar with iPad, the multitouch gestures ability should not be on iPhone or at least the use of four fingers. But wait! there are few important things to do with your four or five fingers such as:

• Pinch to Home Screen
• Swipe up to reveal mustitasking bar
• Swipe left or right between apps

But remember it’s in testing period now, hopefully things will be a lot better when the Cupertino-based company come out with the final result. And it’s also reported that this Multitasking Gesture option won’t be available when they release the gold version of iOS 4.3, thus it’s raising a speculation this option will be added into iOS 5 along with the launch of iPhone 5. Who knows?

The new release of iOS 4.3 Beta brings more features for iDevices, one of which is multi-touch gestures for iPad. However to get this feature you need to firstly enable it, because Apple set it “disabled” by default. And you are going to need Xcode to enable it from your Mac.

Enable Multi Touch Gestures On iOS 4.3 Beta For iPad

If you wish to enable the multi-tuch gestures on iPad using iOS 4.3 beta then follow the instructions below:

• Step 1: Download iOS 4.3 Beta firmware, from this Apple official link here.
• Step 2: Download and install Xcode.
• Step 3: Start Xcode and on the sidebar, then click on the iPad icon.
• Step 4: click “Use for Development”, on the new window.
• Step 5: In this phase, use you Apple developer account to log in and wait for the verification.
  
• Step 6: Close Xcode and Settings.app from iPad on the multitasking tray.
• Step 7: Now re-open the Settings.app again, on the “General” tab you would see “Multitasking Gestures” preference. The feature is set to “ON”. You can now reveal the multitasking tray with a 4-5 finger swipe up, switch between apps and return to the homescreen with a 4-5 finger pinch gesture.

About a week ago Comex demonstrated Flash port for jailbroken iPad, those of who don’t know who is Comex, is the developer of Spirit jailbreak for iPod touch, iPad & iPhone. By the way back to the issue, you can install Flash on iPad using Frash, it’s a good news, yet there is a bad too. Because the plugin is still in Alpha, thus there are still considerable amount of bugs and risks.

Therefore there is nothing much you can do after Flash installed on your iPad, not even able to play flash videos, only few games of MiniClip and the kinds! Apple have sold two million iPads in less than two months. The company was reported to have sold one million on April 30, and in one month latter, which is this month, another one million iPads were sold. That’s made the sales reached 2 millions almost two months, is it a blatant indication that people love iPad?

Well, not really though, the big sales of iPad might be because currently there is no a worthy iPad competitor on the market yet. As the result, iPad comes out as the sole and most wanted tablet computer! And secondly, iPad are available in 9 countries now (and will be available in another nine countries on July) so it’s not really surprising achievement!

We have already heard and seen how magical iPad is from Apple side, especially by Steve Jobs and other tech guy. But have we ever heard or seen from a magician’s side?
