Again! Another Android update, this time for Nexus ONe. The device is awarded with Android 2.2.2, the reason behind the update is same as the found in Nexus S which is to fix the SMS bug which caused troubles for some people. And the 2.2.2 is marked FRG83G with 550 KB in size.

To get the update you can go into two methods, firstly by OTA (Over The Air) to get the notification update on your device, to do so you manually type this line of code *#*#checkin#*#*

Or download the file directly from Google servers, afterward manually install it on your device, here are the guides:

• Download the update file from Google’s server: FRG83G-from-FRG83D
• Copy the file to the root directory (remember on root directly, Not inside any folder) of your microSD card and name it update.zip Tip: Be careful not to name it update.zip.zip
• Turn your device off.
• Hold down the VOLUME DOWN button and power it back on.
• Wait for your phone to load the skating Androids screen. Scroll down to recovery and press the POWER button.
• When you see the “/!\” symbol, press the POWER button and the VOLUME UP button at the same time. You should be presented with a menu and one of the options should be “apply sdcard:update.zip”.
• Use the trackball to navigate to “apply sdcard:update.zip” and select it.
• When you see “Install from sdcard complete”, select “reboot system now”.

That’s the whole steps to manually install Android 2.2.2 on the Nexus One.

Larry Page is Google CEO now, after the former Eric Schmidt stepped down from its position and then pointed to be Executive Chairman. Eric daily job from now and forward will be advising Page and co-founder Sergey Brin. So what is the task of Larry Page as a new CEO? So what will Larry Page, as the new CEO, bring in the coming years for Google and for us?

Google has announced the updated version of their Android Google translate app, this might be the reason for Android fans out there to feel happy they use Android devices. The current version of this translate app has the Conversation mode feature. With it, as a traveler in the are that does not speak your language, you can take advantage this app to translates your language to their language and otherwise.

The mechanism is you record your words by pressing the microphone and start speaking. The Conversation Mode will then translate your word into the language of your choice. Your conversation partner will easily understand what you mean because it’s pronounced with their language, when he reply you, their words will be translated into your language. This app is definitely useful for travelers.

The Conversation Mode is an experimental feature which is intentionally created to help people connect across languages. Since it’s still in the alpha stage, means there are still rooms for improvements like factors like regional accents, background noise or rapid speech may make it difficult to understand what you’re saying.

Currently the mode only understand and understand two languages which are English and Spanish. But I am definitely sure Google is working to add more languages, and expect to see in the final version your and my language is available on its list.

Today is December, 20th right? This is supposed to be the day for people in the UK to go to Carphone Warehouse to grab the Google latest phone, Nexus S, since according the schedule the smartphone would hit UK today. But, things don’t run accordingly, due to the limited supplies of the handset have forced the UK independent mobile phone retailer to reschedule the date release to be December, 22th.

Because of the limited phone’s stock, only the “key” Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy stores have the stock, and for their subsidiary stores are set to take care of instant ship delivery.

But there are number of good news behind this two days delay, because the phone’s price is decreased to £429.99 (from its previous price £549.99). Nexus S will be available from free with a £30/month contract, or on PAYG for £429.99 plus £10 minimum top up with O2, Orange, Vodafone and T-Mobile. In addition, the Nexus S Smartphone from Google will be available SIM free for £429.99.

I guess a couple days delay are forgivable considering the compensations you’ll get.

If you have been experiencing Google indexing troubles to your blog lately and as the result your traffic is decreasing, then don’t panic yet, it’s not because your blog or website is flagged, but It’s the current situation faced by many of blogs of all sizes, including the one you are reading now, yes this blog too experiences indexing problem.

My new article has to wait about 4 or 5 days to be indexed and appear on Google result since October, 19th. Then I started to search for solution and found useful discussion in Google webmaster forum about this issue.

The problem is in Google itself, not ours, currently Google having technical issues to which affecting to many blogs. As we have known the reason behind this trouble, I recommend you to do what John Mu advice which is: “Do not change anything on your side and Google will continue to crawl and index your content eventually” – albeit not as quickly as we expect -  but it will be fixed anyway. Have you heard the latest news about Android, no it’s not about the newest version of this OS mobile. But its logo! A shocking report from EnGadget tends to lead ones who read it to think that Android’s logo and its name, might be the result of a blatant theft of intellectual property. The old Atari game, named Gauntlet has its famous character which will be a familiar name to you and those who ever played that game, the character name is Android.

Not just the name, the look of the two almost exactly the same. So take a look of these two characters to compare:

As we look closely between these two, we’ll find the characters have two antennas on their heads, two dotted eyes and the straight line which separates between the head and the body. Of course their sizes too, as it’s clearly shown on the above picture.

So far Google has not thrown any explanations about these coincidence similarities, but surely, raises curiosity on what would be the explanations!

Mike Arrington of TechCrunch made a demo video to demonstrate Google voice desktop app ability, in the video he called and received call without using headset – but used the internal microphone and speakers – but producing high quality call. The app was built based on Gizmo5 which Google acquired in November 2009

Unfortunately, Google put the application on hold as the two Google founders – Larry Page & Sergey Brin don’t get along with a product that is not web based – but people are expecting the application will be released soon for people outside US, let’s hope!

What a scenery when the two of giant tech CEOs companies (Steve Jobs and Eric Schmidt), which recently been considered sworn enemies, sit together on local coffee bar talking to each other as if they were close friends, what was the talking about? Certainly about “something” but Only God Knows what. Many big websites are trying to figure – was it about iPad or about web content?

The meeting was neither in Google nor in Apple’s HQ, but at Calafia in the Town and Country shopping center in Palo Alto, which raised a speculation that the both were looking for a neutral place or simply did not feel comfortable meeting at each other’s HQs. For information purpose the cafe belongs to former Google chief Charlie Ayers

According Gizmodo tipster during the chat, Schmidt appeared to be passive while Jobs doing almost all the talking. Did Steve Jobs convey his indignation over Google for the launch of iPhone’s Killer – Android – which made Steve reckoned Google’s mantra as a load of bullshit! (Don’t take this one is just my thought…lol)

One thing that makes me curious, does Steve never wear anything other than black? As in all of the pictures of him, he wears black!
