yeah really. Agree with you… With thousands or even millions of visitors on youtube everyday, all your comments that are posted in youtube has the potential to be the top searches in the major search engines.

I guess Google made the right decision in acquiring YouTube. People everywhere just seem to wanna upload videos a LOT! When did this comment search start by the way? And you mention about how long it’s staying is unclear, so does this mean it’s just an experimental thingy?

I am one to read comments though I don’t post one myself, or rarely. But it is really fun to read what people have to say, especially if it’s really a particularly “hot” video. What I really find useful is how-tos and walk-throughs about a new product in video. That really beats having just written text to guide/show to people.

As a regular visitor of YouTube, I do realize how it could be really useful in SEO. Consider the massive number of people who loves watching different kinds of videos, these are potential traffic for your site.

Personally, I read comments sometimes. It actually saves my time, like for example, if the comments sound like a satisfying one then I believe the video is worth watching. On the other hand, if there are negative comments about a particular video then I can easily change the page and go for something that is more interesting.

I must agree with you. There are so many people who take advantage of this Youtube phenomenon. The good thing here is that they enjoy watching the videos, plus they rip some benefits from their comments. Of course, relevancy of the comments must be the number 1 to consider.

I tested you advise but notice that Youtube is using no follow. Moreover, i see that the comment is point to the youtube profile. Are you sure about your post?
