For Twitter users it’s time for you to be more cautious when it comes clicking link from your friends, because they could be someone else or malware, and the link that entices you to click could lead you to malicious Web site that tries to infect your PC and the messages that contain link could be fraudulent messages.
It’s reported by NYTimes.com that currently Twitter is doing a lot of hard workS to get rid this malicious activities, one of which is suspending user accounts whose computers have fallen victim to a well-known piece of malicious software, this malware called Koobface, if you’re a regular member of Facebook and Myspace you would probably have heard about it, because previously Koobface targeted the 2 social networking and many reports being filed of its outbreak.
So far Koobface has been managed to infected hundred accounts according Ryan Flores, Twitter advanced threats researcher. It first appearance was started by sending 3 shortened URL that lead to malware, and now it’s sending more and more malicious link, so be ware!
