After releasing Sn0wbreeze 1.7 iH8Sn0w just launched a tutorial on how to jailbreak iPhone 3GS iOS 4 with Sn0wbreeze 1.7 today. As we know the newest tool works for both old and news bootrom of iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 3G on iOS 4 firmware
And iHSn0w has elaborated the step-by-step tutorial (in its forum) specifically for all iPhone 3Gs users with New Bootrom to be able to jailbreak while at the same time running iOS 4 together on their devices. Firstly make sure your iPhone 3GS has OS 3.1.2, because it’s the requirement in order to follow the guide written in iHSn0w forum
A thing to consider that the tutorial is for an advanced user, there is a big chance of failure, if you are not too familiar with your iPhone
Make sure you have these:
- iPhone 3GS — new bootrom (check your bootrom version for Mac or for Mac)
3.1.2 already installed or 3.1.2 installed via SHSH blobs. <– Broken blackra1n’d devices will work. (Especially if Spirit messed you up!). - Payload Pwner-r3 for the 3GS.
- Download Sn0wbreeze V1.7 for Windows from this link
- iBooty V1.3
- LibUSB (64-Bit users read carefully!!!)
- 3.1.2/4.0 3GS firmware downloaded.
Once you have completed the above requirements then visit iH8Sn0w forum to start following the tutorial written there
To mine excellent phone, and all defects will be corrected in iPhone OS 4: folders, there are more than possibilities in appendices, fast transition from one appendix in another etc. I think that in iPhone 4G all lacks will be eliminated and all will grow fond iPhone even more.
