Apple has recently added a post about iPhone SDK 3.1 beta 2 and iPhone OS 3.1 beta 2 to the iPhone Dev Center.
iPhone SDK 3.1 beta 2 and iPhone OS 3.1 beta 2 are now available on the iPhone Dev Center. These versions are for development and testing only and should be installed on devices dedicated to iPhone OS 3.1 beta software development. If you’re using an unlocked iPhone 3G/3GS, stay away from this update. This update permanently upgrades your baseband and fixes the exploit that the ultrasn0w and purplesn0w use!
This new update will fix the exploit used by ultrasn0w and purplesn0w. So, if you’ve unlocked your iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS, it’s recommended not to update or stay away from this update. But if your iPhone already upgraded to iPhone OS 3.1, follow this guide to downgrade iPhone OS 3.1 to 3.0 .
