iPhone 3.1.3 firmware has been released today, people didn’t expect that Apple would do so, because Apple was expected to release the update version for 3.1.2 firmware for fixing bug issues appear on that firmware, the new the iPhone 3.1.3 firmware is now available on iTunes store and it is for iPhone 3G, 3GS and iPod touch
So if you want to download and install the unexpected new software version, start iTunes after you have connected iPhone with your computer and small box will appear with message like the following:
A new iPhone software version (3.1.3) is available for the iPhone: your name” Would you like to download and install it now?
You can hit Download and Install to continue the process, but don’t do it IF you have a jailbroken iPhone, because updating your iPhone OS to 3.1.3 firmware will make you lose the ability to jailbreak and unlock your iPhone
Thus I suggest to wait until there is jailbreaking and unlocking tool developers like Dev-Team, GeoHotz and other release their updated jailbreaking tools version to match with the current iPhone OS release
