How To Turn On/Off Microsoft Office 2010 Outspace

by Abi on July 13, 2009

Office 2007 owns Ribbon interface, that’s considered unfamiliar feature for some users, and in office 2010 Microsoft introduces Microsoft Office Outspace, again some users prefer to have the old look. Outspace is an additional change added for office 2010. If you click on office button, fancy task-oriented view will appear that give you the ability to manage your presentation, spreadsheet and open document.

If you’re one of those who dislike the new look or change, you can revert to the old and familiar look, by following hack found by Rafael Rivera from WithinWindows

Here’s the steps:

How to Turn On/Off Microsoft Office 2010 Outspace

1. Click Win+r and then type Regedit on run command

2. Now Navigate to following registry key in left pan of registry editor HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Common\Toolbars

3. Create a DWORD named UseOutspace. Give it a value of 0 or 1 (‘0′ to turn off & ‘1′ to turn on)

3. Finish! Now you can see the original office button shows at you.
