How To Jailbreak iPhone 3.1.2 On Windows Using Sn0wbreeze
Previously I posted about Download Sn0wbreeze, now it is the tutorial to Jailbreak iPhone OS 3.1.2 Firmware using Sn0wbreeze, to those who don’t know what is Sn0wbreeze is the jailbreaking iPhone tool only for Windows Operatings Systems and supports iPhone 2G, 3G, 3GS and iPod 1G and 2G, ok let’s get into the tutorial
Here is what you need to do before jailbreaking your iPhone with Sno0wbreeze:
And remember Sn0wbreeze is still in beta release and using it to jailbreak your iPhone is not recommended, but if you insist firstly backup your iPhone
Here is the steps on How to Jailbreak iPhone 3.1.2 Firmware using Sn0wbreeze:
Steps to follow:
- Run the Sn0wBreeze and hit next button. Active Sn0wBreeze, then click on “next” button
- Since Sn0wBreeze is still in beta, thus it’s no way to select Expert Mode, therefore in this phase select Simple Mode and then click the Next Arrow Button.
- You will be asked for ipsw.file as iDevice, therefore go to the folder where your iPhone OS 3.1.2 ipsw file is located and select the download firmware 3.1.2
- At this phase SnowBreeze will process to verify the selected firmware 3.1.2 file and hit next
- And then you will be asked to active your iPhone
- If you select Yes button for hacktivation (for unofficial carriers)
- If you select No if you want to use official carrier (AT&T etc).

- And then click “Start” for Sn0wBreeze to build custom firmware for the iPhone of yours, this process is used to jailbreak iPhone OS 3.1.2
- Restore your iPhone with custome firmware that you have built using Sno0wBreeze after ipsw file building process is complete
- Connect your iPhone to iTunes and select your iPhone from the left navigation pane in iTunes. Hold Down the SHIFT key on your keyboard and hit the Restore button (SHIFT + Restore)
- Now the iTunes will ask for the IPSW firmware file.
Browse to the custom firmware that you built using Sn0wBreeze and select it. - iTunes will Restore your iPhone with custom iPhone OS 3.1.2 created with Sn0wBreeze. Once the iTunes is done with the restore process, your iPhone will restart automatically.
