Remember two days a go I posted about Tethering & MMS Hack Are Broken In iPhone OS 3.1, now this post is can be taken a solution to fix the problem. Someone names Aaron Krill has found a technique to enable MMS on iPhone OS 3.1 and you don’t need to jailbreak your iPhone to follow Aaron Krill’s technique.
FYI Aaron Krill was the same guy who discovered MMS hack for iPhone OS 3.0. Ok let’s get into the Aaron’s tutorial to get your MMS working on AT&T iPhone. One thing you need to remember that this tutorial is for users of iPhones running iPhone OS 3.1 on AT&T’s network. The settings provided here may or may not work with earlier versions of the iPhone OS, and certainly will not work on any other network.
Before, we begin with the tutorial, make sure you already have these:
* Download Modified version of ATT_US.ipcc (carrier file)
* iPhone running iPhone OS 3.1 Firmware
* iTunes 9 and or iTunes 8.2
Now enable IPPC updates for iTunes 9 or 8.2 and then copy the carrier (.ipcc) file to your iphone. Follow these steps:
Enabling IPCC Updates for iTunes:
iTunes 8.2 or iTunes 9 won’t allow you to apply the carrier file updates so you need to follow these steps:
Unfortunately iTunes doesn’t permit you for applying carrier file update so do the following:

2. Click on Terminal (Applications > Utilities > Terminal).
3. Run the command:
defaults write com.apple.iTunes carrier-testing -bool TRUE

1. Close iTunes.
2. Navigate to Start then Run and type CMD.
3. Run this command(If you right-click on the cmd window you can paste):
“C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunes.exe” /setPrefInt carrier-testing 1
Note: Please double check the path of iTunes.exe on your computer and just use the path beside the one mentioned inside quotes IF the command in point 3 doesn’t work
Windows 64 Bit:
1. Close iTunes.
2. Go to Start then Run and type CMD.
3. Run this command(If you right-click on the cmd window you can paste):
“C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes\iTunes.exe” /setPrefInt carrier-testing 1
Note: Please double check the path of iTunes.exe on your computer and just use the path beside the one mentioned inside quotes IF the command in point 3 doesn’t work
