When something in Windows environment goes terribly wrong, it is time to use System Restore a built-in utility which every now and than stores snapshot of entire System’s settings so thay one may revert changes.
If this does not help it is a good idea to turn to command prompt and try command “sfc/scannow” but another alternative to both of them is to simply back up the Registry.
You can do this with a help of various paid and free specialized programs but why bother if there is a way to do it manually.
To back up registry open start menu or press win+r and type regedit. In menu bar chose “file” and than “export”. Decide where you want to store copy of registry and hit enter. Now you are done. File should take around 200 MB of space.
Renewal/import of registry is as simple as exporting it.
Enter registry editor again and this time chose import, locate copy of previously backed up registry and start the process of importing.
After than computer should be able to function normally.
