Resolve Active Sync Issues After Updating To iOS 4. For iPod touch, iPhone 3G, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS users, you will experience a very slow sync on Contacts, Exchange ActiveSync Mail and calendars right after upgrading to iOS 4, or in many cases no sync at all. This situation is called Active Sync issue.

To fix this it’s recommend for every user who experienced such symptoms to install an Apple’s configuration profile, the profile will be increasing the total of time the iOS 4 device to wait for the response of the Exchange Server for the sync requests. To gain the maximum (or best) yield, it’s better to install the profile on as many iOS 4 devices at your company as possible
To install the profile in order to fix or resolve Active Sync issue on iOS 4:
- Download the configuration profile using Safari on iOS 4. And Apple recommends you to:
- Touch on Install to start installing the profile, sometimes it’s prompting you to enter your passcode so enter it!
- At this phase, you will receive a warning message, the reason is because the profile isn’t assigned yet
- Hit on Done for the installation to be completed, now turn your device off and then turn it on again
- Wait for your Exchange data to finish syncing.
After installation, the profile will be listed under Settings > General > Profile.
