Since Dev Team made PWnageTool 3.1 application available to download, now iPhone users can jailbreak & unlock iPhone OS 3G 3.1 using it and retaining their current baseband, and that’s a good news for many people who had accidentally updated to the newest Apple firmware. Now you are current iPhone OS 3G 3.1 is unlock-able and jailbreakable so you don’t need to downgrade your iPhone 3.1 Firmware To 3.0.1 or 3.0.

But unfortunately PWnageTool 3.1 application can be used for Mac OS only and for Windows OS, Dev Team promises to make a new release, so just wait and see and do nothing stupid. This new application was launched yesterday and I see there are many sites have given on how to steps to Jailbreak iPhone 3G on OS 3.1 Pwnage Tool, thus I won’t post about the same issue here, but don’t worry I will point you to their sites so you will be able to follow their steps:

Firstly what you need before jailbreaking or unlocking iPhone 3G 3.1 are:

  1. Download iTunes 9 (if you don’t have one)
  2. Mac OS X Leopard, Snow Leopard
  3. PWnageTool 3.1 (if you don’t have one)
  4. Download iPhone 3.1 Firmware (if you don’t have one)
  5. Make sure you’re using MAC OS
