Guide To Fix Cydia Crashing And Empty Listings

People having trouble with the current problem of Cydia issues. If you are one of those who is experiencing Cydia problem such as Cydia crashing and need to fix it, so here is the fix for Cydia crashing:

1. Download Cydia.deb (then extract the Zip file), copy it through SSH into /var/mobile
2. Load MobileTerminal, and then you need to type:

  • su root
  • alpine ( or your password, if you changed it )
  • dpkg -i Cydia.deb

3. Respring your iPhone

Fix empty listings ( packages and sources )

1. SSH into your iPhone and browse to the following path: /private/var/lib/apt/
2. Delete everything you will find there, except the “partial” folder

I have a jailbroken iphone 3g jailbroken from redsn0w. All the apps i downloaded from cydia crash upon opening..thanks..
