After being scrutinized widely for privacy flaws found in Google Buzz, Google has decided to fix them this week, albeit I am very much sure that Google knew about the flaws from the beginning but kept them remain, because he knew people would talk and discuss about them thus it would give Buzz an extra exposure. The more people talk about it the better, right?
Let’s get back to the point, this week Google has made auto following feature no more! And Google replaced it with suggest model feature, thus it will give us a freedom whether to follow or not to follow the suggested contacts

And if sharing the lists of people you are following or who following you publicly is not your habit, then you can opt out at any time from the edit profile page.
Sure no body wants their Picasa or Google Readers accounts are automatically connected to Buzz, though Buzz only shared content that you set for public consumption or non Unlisted (for Picasa) or non Protected (for G Reader), but people think that this feature shouldn’t be there and to avoid spam, Google accepted the feedback and stop the auto connect feature too
The last feature added by Google is “Buzz Tab” with this; hiding or completely disabling Buzz from Gmail will be a lot easier, you can find the Buzz Tab in Gmail Settings

And another issue that you might want to fix is, perhaps disabling Buzz notification emails?
