Now Apple has released the newest version which is iPhone 3.1.2 Firmware to:
- Resolves sporadic issue that may cause iPhone to not wake from sleep.
- Resolves intermittent issue that may interrupt cellular network services until restart.
- Fixes bug that could cause occasional crash during video streaming.
And the new release is compatible with iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS
You can get this new firmware iPhone 3.1.2 & download it inside your iTunes 9.0.
Be sure not to update to this relase if you have jailbroken & unclocked iPhone or you will suffer inability for future jailbreaking & unlocking.

With the coming of Windows 6.5 Mobile and Android OS, i believed that iPhone would become PAST. But awesome to see Apple trying with all latest Apps to keep the passion alive with the PIONEERING product
