Good news just came up to surface! Because Dev Team has finally presented to us PwnageTool 3.1.3, it’s the updated version of PwnageTool 3.1, but fortunately it’s for iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 2G users that are currently use iPhone 3.0 firmware, one more thing it’s also for MAC OS X users only, so for Windows OS be patient! With PwnageTool 3.1.3 you can jailbreak iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 2G.

Download PwnageTool 3.1.3

  • For those who use 3G iPhone with ultrasn0w & depend on ultrasn0w in order to acquire cellular service, then upgrading to 3.1 with a PwnageTool created .ipsw is what you need to do & stay away from Apple’s direct updates
  • For iPhone 1st generation users 3.1 unlock works with this PwnageTool release. iPhone 3G users upgrading to 3.1 will need to continue using ultrasn0w with a PwnageTool created 3.1 .ipsw
  • PwnageTool will work for the iPhone 3GS assuming you have already Pwned it at 3.0 or 3.0.1
  • PwnageTool will work for the iPod touch 2G assuming you have already Pwned it at 3.0 or 3.0.1
  • PwnageTool can be used for future update for 3G & 3GS users who are Pwned, but don’t install an update from Apple, always use an .ipsw that has been created with PwnageTool.

I’m sure this is easy enough, but I’m waiting for redsn0w as there is almost nothing in 3.1 that I want so I’m happy enough with my 3G 3.0 iPhone. I did move the carrier settings to 5.5 to get MMS working on my iPhone.

I managed to jailbreak iPhone 3G which was accidentally updated to os 3.1 through itunes but my baseband is upgraded to 6.02. Expecting some utility to downgrade it.
