To manage my blogs I usually use external FTP, if you don’t know what is FTP (an acronym for File Transfer Protocol), it’s a tool to transfers data & files inside computer to another computer or to web server. Generally I use it to transfer WordPress plugins or WordPress themes I downloaded from the net to my web server. And there are many FTP on the net, mostly are free to download, but the one I like and use is Filezilla, because it’s powerful, easy to use and user friendly interface.
A site manager is provided by FilleZilla to save logins activities and connection details, you can also customize independently the Explorer style interface, this interface is for showing the remote and local folders.
Not just that FileZilla also supports for proxy and firewalls connection as well as SSL and Kerberos GSS security.
Key features of FileZilla:
- Ability to resume Uploads/Downloads (if the server supports it)
- Custom Commands
- Site Manager with folders
- Keep Alive system
- Timeout detection
- Firewall support
- SOCKS4/5 and HTTP1.1 Proxy support
- SSL secured connections
- SFTP support
- Upload/Download Queue
- Drag & Drop

i use Filezilla to transfer my file to root folder. Nice, friendly ftp software ever..
This is friendly FTP and free to use we have used many FTP but we like Filezilla. Thank you for sharing this information for blog readers.
Brockton general contractors always uses filezila for upload and download as we are to change our website very frequently.
Even the web development team of carnival cruise line ship uses Filezilla and treats it as the safest mode of data transfer
I have been using FileZilla for years and had no problem with previous versions, but with this latest version it is uploading empty files to my ISP’s server … i.e. the name is there but file size = 0. Other FTP clients load the whole file onto the server. This may not be FileZilla’s fault, but as I say, it does not happen with other brands, and I would be obliged to receive some feedback.
