If you are no longer be able to make Spire to works, then you are not alone! Many other non-iPhone 4s users who have their Spire installed experience the same situation too.

This is because Apple has blocked the said jailbreak tweak by adding SetActivationToken, this prevents from letting older and unsupported devices from entering or precisely tricking Apple’s server for allowing non-4s device using the company’s personal voice assistant.

So if you are one of the unlucky guy that relies on Spire in order to use Siri and currently being kicked out from communicating to Apple server, there is however a two temporary workarounds for you.

What you need to do to make Spire backs to work, now go to var/mobile/Library/Preferences/ use iFile or SSH and delete this file: com.apple.assistant.plist and then reboot your device. You will then see Spire work and getting full Siri access.

An alternative solution: Delete com.apple.assistant.plist and then turn off Siri for about 30 minutes, then restart your device, followed with turn on Siri.

Please remember, as I mentioned on the above paragraph that this is temporary workaround, certainly Apple will not let this one go forever, the company will certainly find a way to deal with it.

If you prefer an easy road you can download SARA as Siri alternative or using SiriPort to install Siri on iPhone 4.

1. Clear data  in Settings > Applications > All > Market

2. Go to this URL address: Market Link to download and install ES File Explorer.

3. Open ES File Explorer. Enable Root Explorer and Mount File System underSettings > Root Settings.

4. Go to /system. in this area you will find build.prop file. Back up the file to your SD card.

5. Touch on build.prop > ES Note Editor. Make the following changes to ro.product.model andro.product.manufacter:

ro.product.model = Nexus S

ro.product.manufacturer = samsung

Change the Nexus S to any product types you use, the reason the author uses the Nexus S for this tutorial, is for the example purpose and it’s the most supported phone now.

6: Once you have edited the file, then continue your step by hitting the menu button and then tap save.

7. Finish.

Now you can purchase or simply download the incompatible apps from Android, IF you correctly followed the above steps.

1. Download GreenPois0n RC5 and iOS 4.2.6.

2. Connect your CDMA iPhone 4 with your computer using USB, then click on Jailbreak button:

3. You need to put your device into DFU Mode, don’t worry, the instructions to do so can be found on the next screen just like in the following image:

4. After you have managed to put your Verizon iPhone 4 into DFU mode, the jailbreaking process will be started. Therefore hit on “Jailbreaking” button to start untether jailbreak iOS 4.2.6.

5. Click “Complete” button to finish the jailbreaking process.

6. Congratulation your iDevices running on iOS 4.2.6 is jailbroken now. The indication can be found from a new Loader app on your Springboard, after you have rebooted your device.

A hacker named Nadeem Ateyeh announced via his recent tweet that he has released PwnageTool Bundle to jailbreak iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS running on iOS 4.2.1. 1. So to start jailbreak your phone 4 and 3GS using PwnageTool, you need to firstly download the bundle package here. Then extract the zip files.

2. And then download the PwnageTool 4.1.3 from this link, then copy and paste it into your desktop. Click the “Show Package Contents” by right clicking on the file. See the image below:

3. Now open: Contents/Resources/FirmwareBundles/ and then paste the following files there, the files inside the PwnageTool Bundle you downloaded earlier, paste according your device mode:

• Paste iPhone3,1_4.2.1_8C148.bundle for iPhone 4,
• Paste iPhone2,1_4.2.1_8C148a.bundle for iPhone 3GS in this location.

4. And then open: Contents/Resources/CustomPackages/CydiaInstaller.bundle/ and then copy the info.plist file afterward close the folder.

5. Download the iOS 4.2.1 for iPhone. Put this IPSW file to your desktop.

6. Launch PwnageTool in “Expert mode” , then choose your device:

8: Before we continue to create-the-bundle process, you need to firstly “Activate the Phone” option is unchecked under “General”, and “Cydia Installer” package is selected under “Cydia Packages” option. After you finished with that, now choose “Build” in order to create custom 4.2.1 firmware file:

9. Now it’s time for Pwnagetool to create a custom.ipsw file for your device. Then, it will prompt you to save custom .ipsw firmware file. Then save the file to your desktop. It is going to take about 10-15 minutes for creating the firmware file, therefore waiting in patient!

10. Now put your device into DFU mode, to do so, hold Power and Home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds. Then release the Power button while your finger still holding the Home button for another 10 seconds. If it’s done correctly, your device should be into DFU mode and the message will appear as notification:

11. Open iTunes, then hold the Alt/Option key for Mac, and hold Left “Shift” key for Windows. And continue the process by clicking Restore.

12. Now select the custom IPSW that was created and click the Choose button. Wait for a while till iTunes updates the new firmware on your iPhone. After the installation is done, iPhone will restart automatically.

13. Now pick the custom IPSW which we have created and then click the choose button there. Then, let iTunes do its job to update to the new firmware for your iPhone. When the update process is finish, your device will be restarted automatically, then you will find that you have jailbroken iPhone 4, or 3GS running on iOS 4.1 using PwnageTool.

Now you can unlock your iPhone using Ultrasn0w 1.2 so you can use any carrier you like!

A guy named “Intell” has elaborated the steps to bring FaceTime app feature on iPad 1G, as we all know the app is probably one of the demanded features should be on iPad, but it’s not there yet. With FaceTime iPad users can do video conference with other iDevices.

1. SSH to /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/
2. Rename Conference.framework to ConferenceiPad.framework and IMCore.framework to IMCoreiPad.framework
3. Upload the Conference.framework and IMCore.frameworks from the iPod Touch 4 or iPhone 4 to /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/
4. Navigate to /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/ and download the K48AP.plist for editing.
5. Add

under the capabilities array, then upload the modified version to SpringBoard.app on the iPad replacing the unmodified version

6. Upload the ConferenceRegistrationSettings.bundle from the iDevice 4 to /System/Library/PreferenceBundles/

8. Upload the AVCaptureSession.plist from the iPod Touch 4 /System/Library/Frameworks/AVFoundation.framework/N81/ or /System/Library/Frameworks/AVFoundation.framework/N90/ from the iPhone 4
9. Navigate to /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Celestial.framework/K48/ and rename AVCapture.plist to AVCapture.bak2
10. Upload the AVCapture.plist from the iPod Touch 4 /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Celestial.framework/N81/ or /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Celestial.framework/N90/ from the iPhone 4
11. To get the sounds woking navigate to /System/Library/Audio/UISounds/ and put vc~ended.caf, vc~invitation-accepted.caf, and vc~ringing.caf from the iDevice 4 into the iPad’s UISounds folder
12. Navigate to /Applications/Preferences.app/ and download the Settings.plist
13. Remove the requieredCapabilites key from item number 26, save, then replace the version on the iPad with modified version
14. Edit the info.plist in the MobilePhone.app that is from the iDevice 4. Change CFBundleDisplayName~ipod to CFBundleDisplayName~ipad, CFBundleIconFiles~ipod to CFBundleIconFiles~ipad, CFBundleURLTypes~ipod to CFBundleURLTypes~ipad, UILaunchImageFile~ipod to UILaunchImageFile~ipad, and add a 2 to the UIDeivceFamily array (For help with adding the 2 visit http://www.funkyspacemonkey.com/apps-ipad-compatible)
15. Replace the Default~ipod.png with the attached file

1. Firstly jailbreak your iPhone running on 4.2.1 iDevice with GreenPois0n RC5

3. SSH into your device and place the animate file in /usr/bin/.
4. Change the file permissions to 755.
5. Reboots the device.
