7 Free Image Hosting Services

[ 9 ] September 21, 2009 | Abi

It’s better to save our image files in the third-party service rather than keep them inside our hosting, there are several good reasons can be used to save image files outside our Web hosting, one of which is safety. You can’t assure that none will not steal your image files and use them for their own purpose, for example post the image in their articles, if this happens that you’re bandwidth is used by someone and you’re the one who pay for it. You don’t want that to be happening to you, right?

Well, another thing is they are free and you are given large space to save any images file albeit is limited size but I think it’s sufficient. Oke here are the names of free image hosting services:

http://www.yourfilebin.com/, this is my favorite image hosting because we don’t need to register or such, just browser and select image inside your HD and upload it, wait for uploading process to finish, and then Yourfilebin.com will display the image url inside html code mode.

http://www.freeimagehosting.net/, you don’t need to register too but it’s recommended to register. The good things about this image hosting is after your image saved, you will be given 3 codes with image url link inside, code to insert in myspace profile, forum and alternative. And Filesize limit is 3,000KB

http://tinypic.com, most of us know tinypic.com since it’s widely known. Just like FreeImagehosting.net you also will be given html code to be inserted inside website, code for forum, url for email and for layout.

http://photobucket.com/, also my favorite for quality image and many features provided there. You can browse inside your dashboard.

http://www.imagechicken.com/ Good image hosting and also credible and it’s free.

http://imageshack.us/
, imageshack.us is also a good image hosting.

http://www.free-image-hosting.info/ offering free hosting of images, pictures, photo galery, avatar.

And hope you’ll find this post useful & see you again in SEO Blog.

  3. Stealing images online has become a popular thing for scammers to do, and as people learn this the hard way, services like this will grow with success.

Photobucket seems to have been around since the dawn of the Internet. In all that time, I’ve never had a problem with it.

  5. I use Image shack since the very first time I uploaded pics to the net. With the advances in technology and with money to spend on other premium image hosting service – I still use it to share some pics to my relatives abroad :)

I’m only familiar with Photobucket and imageshack. I’ve seen these stuffs used by some members of popular social networking sites. They actually find it very useful.

Well I have to agree with most of your free image hosting services except Image shack and photobucket. WHy? Well photobucket for me is the worst because of it’s sucky bandwidth limit. If you have some decent traffic you’ll just see the stupid images of “you have reached your monthly bandwitdh limit”. Well imageshack is pretty darn good and it’s bandwidth limit is updated hourly but imageshack loads your pic really really slow…
